This is a mature parkland course, although the club house is a recent construction. The seasoned golfer will find the bunkers protecting the green on the eighteenth a challenge and the up-hill twelfth; a par four, which doglegs right onto a plateau-fairway ending with a sloping green, a test of putting skill. Those who view golf as ‘a good walk spoiled’ will find most pleasure at the thirteenth’s tee, which has perhaps the best view of the course.

Established 1892
This course is set on 130 acres of parkland with mature trees and excellent views of the Slieve Bloom Mountains. A challenge well worth a visit.
A special feature of the course is the variety of the par 3 holes, most noteworthy of which is the 180-yard 6th, which is played almost entirely over a lake. The most famous hole on the course is the new 7th, referred to locally as 'The Burma Road' - par 5 of over 500 yards with magnificent trees on both sides and out of bounds all along the left hand side.
